A Facet of the Jewel of Truth

Respected Elder,
Attempting to shape the world in what one views as perfection is the
crime of any religion. For example, if a group of church missionaries
came upon a child enslaved by a group of goblins, the missionaries would
attempt to rescue that child (assuming, of course, that the child didn't
exhibit any traits of darkness even at that tender age) and show the
babe a better life through Light and Righteousness.
Why? Because those missionaries believe that slavery of mortal
(excluding Dark) creatures is wrong. This is a tenet of their faith. Is
it a correct one? Perhaps. Do these missionaries, by their actions, seek
to impose their definition of how the world should be upon others?
Indeed they do. Some may do it through example, some through sword or
some through words...but the end result is the same. You, Lord Isildur,
would be a happier man if the world were shaped more as your belief says
it should be.
Such are the pretenses of religion. The only difference between you and
I, Venerable One, is the perception of that perfect world. I travel the
same paths you do, my friend, tis only our destinations that are
different.
