Perhaps you should rethink the logic upon which you base your thoughts..
You refer to the Church, as a whole, and thus include everyone within it when you do so. There are various people within the church. Some, who do not fight at all, some, who fight by themself and never ever with another. There are those who will not flee from a fight, no matter how overwhelming the odds. You see, Kellur, The Church consists of many people, and stating the actions of individuals and claiming them to represent the whole, is quite illogical.

I also would like to refer you, to the fact that I know a few Shadowsnakes who have lacked such honourable combat. I'll refer you to my challenge of Amaru, after he killed a friend of mine, and jumped me. He reluctantly accepted, and then tried to Vortex me into a group inside of Ashtan. Some should politely decline such a challenge, if they do not wish to heed it honourably.
