Hi all,

It has been long since I visited this forum. I just wanted to make a comments/corrections to what is probably believed by most of you.

1. Rarely if ever has an Occultist gone out into the world with the intent to increase their numbers. We let those who are interested come to us. Usually this happens after they have been on the side of 'good' and found it personally lacking. Sometimes they find a home with our guild sometimes they realize that what they had was 'right' for them.
If a person hasn't been on Sapience long enough to really know about either side. They as well as those who have are given an extensive list of reading materials, which includes the help scroll on the church, to peruse. We prefer those wanting to join our ranks believe firmly that that is what they truly want to do. It's not easy being an Occultist and it's doubly not easy when you doubt your decisions. The process is long and it was done that way purposefully to discourage those who only half-heartedly want to be an Occultist.

2. Your comment on slandering the church in regards to the occult is also incorrect. For the most part during our interviews we try to maintain a sense of impartiality. There is no prerequisite to hate the 'church' or any other faction, organization or order to attain membership within the guild. If someone felt this was done then that person should take the initiative and speak to the GM or GL aka secretary and make a complaint.

The Occultists are comprised of a mixture of what comes from Achaea. We aren't interested in what order you belong to, what clans you feel attached too or who is your family just as long as you stay true to the guild. The guild isn't the occultic name but every single member behind her doors.

I apologize for those who felt compelled to read this. I only felt the need to post because Murlune specifically named the Occult.

As a side note. Any one person who professes to 'hate' the 'church' and belongs to the Occultist's Guild doesa so for personal feelings. I myself don't hate the 'church'. I also have friends on both sides.
