The Infernal Code states, essentially, that those following are allowed to attack anyone they please, as long as they 'give warning'. This warning can essentially be 'You have ten seconds to run or die'.

A reason for the attack, beyond a desire to improve their fighting ability and/or to look good in the eyes of their superiors, is unnecessary and redundant.
