Noxalar's punishment

As some of you may have noticed by now, Noxalar is no more. In keeping with the terms of the recently signed venom treaty and addendum, he was found guilty of severely undermining the pricing restrictions and punishment was meted out accordingly.
It did not help that Noxalar chose to quite publicly declare his opposition to the terms of said treaty. In making the argument that he was not bound by the terms of the treaty because he was neither a member of one of the Serpent guilds, nor a citizen of Ashtan, Hashan, or Shallam, he exposed his complete ignorance of the law (or unwillingness to follow it, but I will choose the more charitable view). I would ask all of you who find yourselves in a similar situation to please re-read the treaty, for it clearly states that -any- individual who undermines either the availability of venoms or the profitability of venom sales for members of the Serpent class will be considered an enemy of the treaty and of all of the cities and guilds who signed it.
Now, for those of you who say that these same cities and guilds have no "right" to impose their restrictions upon other "free cities", such as Delos, Shaastan, Jaru, or Thera, I say that nothing could be farther from the truth. For better or worse, the 3 cities of Ashtan, Hashan, and Shallam comprise a clear majority of the populace of Achaea. Until other cities are granted similarly democratic systems of government and develop a system of duly elected representatives, the will of the representatives of the 3 major cities must be regarded as the will of the land. To approach things in any other manner would be to invite chaos.
Finally, I would suggest that the government of Ashtan review Zero's recent actions relating to Noxalar's punishment. It is not for me to say whether his actions, like Noxalar's, constitute a willful and public repudiation and violation of the venom treaty, but I can say that I am personally deeply disappointed that a duly elected Archon of Ashtan would choose to side with a lawbreaker rather than a representative of the treaty that was signed by Ashtan. Once again, I call upon all of you to carry out your disputes and debates regarding the new law in a civil manner and within the proper forums.
Thank you once again for your time.
