Sapience,
What I find truly disturbing about this whole mess, is that even I, Glade,
find this little argument beyond the bizarrness (If that is even a word) of
even any of my famed puns...Allow me to explain.
Race should not matter. No matter what race you are, noone should be _Just_
anything. I am not _Just_ half-mhun. I am not _Just_ loopy in the head. I
am not _Just_ another person. Each and every one of us hold different values
dear to us, and that is what makes us more than "_Just_" another object
in this realm. How much mana we can harness in the realm does not affect
which race is smarter or stupider. There are brillant...and not so
brilliant...people of every race and kind. Anyone who can find me a race which
is either totally brilliant and shares the exact same values, or a totally moronic
race whom share the exact same values, will be heavily rewarded.
Next, Zbniebniz is not self centered. He is proud of the history of the mhun
race. I am also. You should be proud of yours too. he was simply compairing
the Mhun's illustrious history to Silverwisps...not so illustrious histrory (That
is assuming that all of her posts are as intillectual as her origianl response
to Zbniebniz *Sarcasm*) What we do have here however, is a severe case of
ethnocentrism also. Cultures such as the Mhuns may live in caves, but it
does not make them any less civilized than any city dweller. A culture can
only be judged in how it thrives. In this aspect, who was it that survived
the morning star while everyone on the surface perished? While Ashtan, Hashan,
and Shallam battle it out in conquest of one another, who quietly minds their
own business? The mhuns are an extremely resiliant, wise and adaptable race,
that Zbniebniz is more than happy to represent. If Hashan were an all powerful
city where you had been raised, and taught, and lived your entire life, would
you honestly have the gall to tell me you wouldn't be happy to represent it?
As for the "Greater Good" Fhyn, how is trying to lower the prices for the
populace of sapience...or rather striving to give freedom of price back to the
populace NOT working for the "Greater Good?" I personally hail Zbniebniz's
efforts, and hold him in high esteem for making such a generous offer. And
even "_Just_" the Mhuns, as Silverwisp calls them, have donated gold to the
cause of giving the pricing power back to shopkeepers. How is that centering
on how self-centered the mhuns are Fhyn? If anything, you should be thanking
the great Mhuns for helping to free the cities of sapience from this
socialistic grasp that the so called "Leaders" have upon the continent.
I also can agree with Zbniebniz that you are weak Silverwisp. Although I
cannot effectively argue that I am much stronger in battle, at least I can
admit that. Heck...I'm probably not stronger than you in many ways at all,
but at least I have respect for those who deserve it, and hold dearly to
values such as (The first thing that comes to mind in this situation) equality.
I hope you're all dully entertained by my long windedness *Grin*
