Ashgrog,
I've never spoken with you (or heard of you, for that matter), but I feel I must comment on your idea of this "helping organization."
I'm sure we of the public new board could spend many posts discussing whether you really had such a sudden and complete change of heart -- I find a complete personality change doubtful for _anyone_, not just you -- but that's not what I want to discuss, so I'm going to assume that you really and truly want to help people. That said...
I would guess that your various schemes failed before because your goal was too broad: what should the Magi spies accomplish? combat -- what _about_ combat? highest rank? what? -- and intelligence is again a broad goal. "Helping all Achaeans" is another very broad goal, and that's my major problem with it. How do you want to help people? Rez them when they die, buy things for them, teach newbies, what? Specifically, how will you help Achaea?
And then, once you've decided what you want to do to help Achaeans, are you sure what you're doing will be beneficial in the long term? For example, buying a person's possessions for them from their 18th birthday until they die isn't _really_ helping them. Sure, it's a convenience, but you know the saying "give a man a fish and feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"? Well, that applies here.
Start small -- pick one thing you'll do, and become good at that one thing, say teaching newbies. Become known as the newbie teacher, and once you know that you've started accomplishing one of your goals, then you can expand. But start small. Oh, and the rezzing business has already been taken. *grin* *waves to Draven, Koli, & co.*
Good luck. 🙂
