Possesion and the threat it poses.

Tiercel,
If this occurence is spreading as rapidly as it appears, then you are correct to maintain that it DOES present a tangible threat. While I have no personally vested interest in the matter, at this time, I would suggest that the method of investigation warrants refining.
Thus far, the limited evidence which is publicly available seems to indicate two major operational theories of behaviour:
1) That the plague spreads primarily through physical contact. Halo became infected. Zero interacted with Halo and the Orbs. Zero became infected. Rivalyn interacted with Zero (and possibly with the Orbs themselves as well, through his various experiments with exorcism). Rivalyn now appears to be infected.
Therefore, one must consider the possibility that further investigation through direct physical interaction with the subject will only cause the "Condition" to spread to the researcher, as well.
2) That the only person who seems to have made a full and complete recovery thus far is Sir Halo (to my limited knowledge). Therefore, whatever method(s) utilized in handling Sir Halo should be considered the only effective method(s) of recovery.
Given the operational premise of infection through physical contact, the only clear choice at this time would seem to be a complete quarantine of all persons known or suspected to be infected with the Condition to date. Until an effective cure (which does not put the researcher/physician at risk for infection themselves) can be found and implemented, I surmise that containment of the condition to prevent further spread would be the highest priority.
Wishing good fortune to all involved,
