You said it quite correctly (or was it someone else?) this is a WITCH HUNT.
There are two things about witch hunts that you dont quite seem to comprehend:

1) Never, EVER, can the word of the suspect be taken for anything more than possibly true - if Zero is still possessed, he is hardly going to say so, is he?

2) While history shows that witch hunts are evil things, condemning many innocent, and ruining lives - cannot you see that Rivalyn HAS NO CHOICE?
The chance remains that Zero may still be possessed, if this is so, he MUST be found out. The consequences of you being wrong are too dire to risk simply so Zero may live his life in peace.

Lastly - your opinion on Zero's mental state is not trusted - it has been postulated that the entire Santra will be or already are, possessed, hence YOU are a suspect in this witch hunt.

Oh - you said Zero always acts honourably... I believe I just read of him theatening to steal new "eyes" by force if no one will donate them. That is honourable to you? If armed robbery is honourable... *ponders*. All I will say to that is he will regret it if he demonstrates his code of honour to me or mine.
