Just to clear an issue

Greetings, Sapience.

The sovriegn state of Hashan has accepted the Knights of the Exodus Batallion -willingly-. In fact, after much negotiation with their esteemed leader, Raajin, I was having to count the seconds until I could welcome them into my city.

Now, some people have an issue with the fact that Raajin is a Citizen of Hashan. They say that this treaty between Hashan and Ashtan disallows it. I say that this is rubbish. Following, as penned by the Hand of Lady Ourania, is the treaty which sits on an obsidian plaque at the crossroads of Hashan:

In furtherance of Hashan's pact of cooperation and reciprocity with the noble City of Ashtan, know that on this day the following amendment to the Great Law of Hashan shall be enacted. Whoever is found to have broken the sovereign laws of Hashan, and fled to Ashtan in order to avoid punishment therefor, shall be extradited from within Ashtan and forcibly returned to Hashan in order to receive due process of law. Conversely, any person who shall seek refuge in Hashan from the retribution of Ashtan shall be removed from Hashan's walls and returned to Ashtan.

You will notice that NOWHERE on the plaque does it say that a person cannot be a citizen of the other city DURING the time in which they are serving their punishment. Raajin was forced out of Ashtan, and he came to Hashan. Hashan welcomes Raajin, and only looks forward to the fantastic events which are yet to unfold.

To any of you who care to dictate the law by your own tongues, you would be doing me great favour if you would read it first. I'll not waste my time, nor the time of my Regents to answer questions of this nature. It is clearly printed, and so it shall be.

To those of you who might have heard the rumours - Yes, it is true that Mistral and I are speaking of re-vamping, if not totally doing away with the treaty. It seems that, since people choose not to read it, it is doing more harm than good. For now, however, the treaty is still FULLY in place. Be prepared to face your punishment if you break the laws.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Chronos, in the year 261 AF.
