Fighting Kroul

Fellows of Achaea,
While I do not have the world weary experience of Khaseem, nor his
legacy of one-on-one combat, I feel that I must speak against his
suggestions of apathy.

We are fighting a small force that uses guerrilla tactics. To sit
at local defenses, and await his movement, is to relinquish to him
all initiative, and guarantee his success. This has been proved by
his attacks on Hakhim, the Ratman, and Liirup. He can move in to
our cities, stealthily enough to avoid our fixed defenses of archers
and telepaths and strike. If the fixed defenses give you no benefit,
there is no reason to base your strategy around using them.

Instead we need to continue scouting. He need to know from whence he
comes, and where he retreats to. We need to know how he travels,
and whether we can track or block it. Where does he go to succor his
wounds? Where does he take his captives and bounty?

It may be much to ask, but we must use our minds rather than our
weapons, citizens of Sapience. Communication is key. Let the leaders
of each city receive any information you have, so that together they
and we can piece together the pattern and nature of his attacks.

Be strong, but also be smart,
Brother Thaulan, Devil's Advocate

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Ero, in the year 258 AF.
