Your childishness

As Prince Tu'eras will not lower himself to respond to the accusations of a child such as yourself, I will.
It is very easy to applaud rapine, murder, and mass destruction. Those are the acts of children who have not yet matured to the point where self-respect and respect for others becomes possible. They are the acts of juvenile beings who lash out because they are mentally and emotionally incapable of constructive action.
Is it braver for my Prince to rush out and get himself killed, so that our people lose two leaders, or is it braver for him to resist the urge that no doubt possesses him - the urge to exact revenge immediately - or is it braver _and wiser_ to take responsibility for his people's safety first, and put matters of revenge second? The answer is obvious to any mature being.
As for your claim that you don't recall any city leaders staying back while others fought, I think you only have to look at Elentari, considered by the Gods the greatest of the city leaders in recent generations. I do not believe I ever witnessed her personally becoming involved in combat.
Penned by my hand on the 18th of Daedalan, in the year 258 AF.
