Hello everyone,

I am writing to let you know of the terrible tragedy that has befallen Kazin. Many of you have been trying to contact him and I fear he will be out of commission for awhile. Earlier today, while hunting goblins in Azdun, we ran across a terribly ferocious band of miners. Just as we had managed to maul the last one to death, the miner swung at Kazin and threw him against a wall which crumbled. Much to our shock, Kazin was thrown down an enormous mining shaft.

I happened to have a sturdy length of rope in my pack and Istavan, Fetzer and I managed to hoist Kazin out. He was unconscious and dead, we feared. We rushed back to the forest where I first attempted to cure him with the powers of my grove. When this failed, Cailith and Maran both tried to heal him. They managed to bring him back to consciousness, however, he immediately began careening around the forest screaming at us about an old man and visions and some...story...?

We were at a complete loss as to what we should do so we uttered a prayer to the Gods. Lady Tarah arrived in answer to our summons and attempted to heal Kazin Herself. Much to our horror, his afflictions were beyond even Her help. She suggested we allow him to sleep and attempt to question him when he awakes. Our fear is that he is lost to us forever.

To those of you who rushed to our aid, thank you. To those of you who have voiced concern, I will keep you informed of Kazin's condition.
