You may not have attacked us first, but you certainly attacked our
ideals first. A moot question, in any case. There was a time when
I thought I needed the respect of you and your kind, but in the end
that isn't important. I'll live my life honourably and by the Codex,
and you'll live your life however you choose--in decadence, wallowing
in selfish pursuits, or as one of those who the Church has embraced.

For those of you who think that crying "Hypocrite!" every time one of
our members does something that they shouldn't is acceptable, I would
do well to inform you that declaring someone a hypocrite for trying to
do what you yourself cannot is simply another form of hypocrisy--even
if you don't profess to follow our Codex.
