If you were around more often, you would know, as do I, that Gawain is
in the land far more than any other Church member. This is the simple
reason why I stated that he was the obvious leader of the Church. I
have seen Odysseus once and that very briefly. If Odysseus was the
"leader" of the Church, even if he wasn't around, I would expect at
the very least, some official Church proclamations, mandates or
opinions. The simple fact is that Gawain has shown himself to be the
Church official who posts Church opinions, fights in the name of the
Church and makes his presence known.

However, if in your judgment you decree that Gawain is nothing more
than a man at arms, which I assume means that a man at arms is
incapable of being a leader, then I bow to your judgment that Gawain
is incapable of being the leader of the Church. Frankly, what do I
care?
