Not to be argumentative, but saying that the whole aura of magic has never chosen good over evil is a bit silly considering that every guild in the land employs magic and aligns itself in one way or another. Necromancy, Domination, Tarot, Spiritualism, Telepathy, Kaido, Devotion, Groves, Metamorphosis, bits of Subterfuge, etc etc all contain many magical abilities.
