Alexus,
Fraid I'm gonna have to agree with Shakti here.
To put it quite simply, these discussions broaden not only our perspectives, but also our intellectual capabilities (such as they might be). This is in a way evolution of the mind, and should not be suppressed.
I'd also like to point out that the reason the Church is opposed to Chaos is not cos the mind behind Chaos founded the de Vermiis Oprhanage, that Ophanage is one reason, yes, but hardly the only reason.
One major factor could be that most (I think) practitioners of Chaos have alignments which are a little on the low side... labelling them evil. Another reason could be that Chaos by definition undermines the Order upon which the Church (preachers of light) is built upon, and as such Chaos can be considered enemies of the Church...
So there you have it, Alex. The endless discussions have a two-fold purpose, and the Church has more reason to oppose Chaos than just a hatred of the actions of one person.

For everyone else, I apologise cos you've heard all this before, I know. Alex just needed it clarified however.
