It's very easy for all of you to chastise me for my acts of
evil, presumably because you just wish me to understand the
hypocrite and the zealot that I am.

Your insistent nagging about how I am evil and about how I
am wrong belongs better in a place where good and evil are
not represented by beings in the Garden. My Goddess doesn't
consider me evil, and I doubt that the Lord of Evil himself
would claim that I am doing His will. I follow none of his
seven truths, and I am in fact a kinder soul than you would
like to believe.

I will not tolerate your evil acts, however, no matter how
much you feel you can cleverly disguise them as your own
motives that supposedly the Church has no place in opposing.

Concerning your prideful statements of not being able to re-
member dying by my hand, or boasting of taking advantage of
a divine punishment to kill a man who could normally defeat
you easily, very little response is required, other than to
ask why you feel the need to include such in this discussion.

I grow weary of you constantly mocking the Church for hold-
ing our beliefs close to our hearts. Do you really think
that if you call us zealots, if you call us barbarians, if
you call us hypocrites, we will ever become the sniveling,
weak cult that you wish to be? Do you really think we'll lie
down and let you trample our beliefs and our goals and our
very -faith-, if you tell us we're being naughty enough?

I, for one, will never stop fighting to end the sentiment
that you seek to create in the Church. That is what this war
is about - it's not about your blood covering my hands, so
I may 'lick' it off and take some form of perverse pleasure
from it, and it's not about making myself feel better in any
way. I admit to enjoying the thrill of battle, the rush of
adrenaline, but there has not been a single death that I don't
regret when I say my daily prayers, when I attend the Church
ceremonies, and especially when I'm in the presence of my loving
Goddess and Her divine Light!

This war is about showing you, the evil and the wicked, that
there will always be those among the members of the Church
who will NOT lie down and allow you kill us, maim us, rape
and slaughter the neutral and the innocent, engage in the
foul practice of necromancy which taints this very world, or
weaken our minds and our faith through mere words from you,
mere mortals.

Israfel.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Phaestian, in the year 251 AF.
