Boody Gawain and the Church

Although he may try to sound noble and high-handed, I ask those of you
with minds free to think beyond the constraints of the Church to judge
for yourself Gawain's words and actions. He was upset that I said
something that he did not like so he tried to kill me. Even assuming
that I "slandered" his name (which I did not), is this the act of a
rationale, sane and good man? Gawain certainly believes that any
young Achaean is easily brainwashed and duped (unless of course they
join the Church, and we all know that the Church doesn't brainwash --
NOT). However, I have always trusted and helped the young, giving my
time, money, knowledge and wisdom to those new to the land. If this makes
me evil, then by all means kill me for it.

Turn your eyes away from Church's shrines, covered with the innocent
blood of humans, dwarves and other sentient races, ignore the Templar's
military mindset that answers words with swords, forget that Servelan
ever helped you and opened an orphanage for the young ones, and, as
Gawain would have you think, believe the Church is for your good and
I am a vile monstrosity. But -- you know what? -- I don't think any
rationale person will believe that. And that's because I have confidence
that people are not as easily brainwashed as Gawain would like to think.
