I commend my guild and others for their actions and I support them fully.
Typing wares and recording the first item that shows up doesn't aide the shopkeeper if they had 50 items on their stockroom floors. The items were taken and mailed at great expense of the citizens of Achaea, not just ashtan or another city. This was done because a sense of security is needed when something like this happens and I for one am glad that there are those in the realm who are looking out for the general welfare of the lands.
Recording just the one item that showed up on the wares wasn't helpful in recouping stolen items because it wasn't just ONE person entering stockrooms and taking things. Some people took gold which you can't see on the wares list. Others took certain items and someone else took the rest. Items picked up aren't <im assuming> the first things listed on the WARES. What we did and I helped was salvage what was left if we got there a bit too late. I give a world wide welcome to everyone to thanked us for getting what we could.
You have to remember that not everyone records their itemID numbers so even if they were robbed blind they'd have no way to identify what was taken if they hadn't handled the inventory a few hours before hand.
No one profited from this unfortunate incident. No one held anyone elses' property for ransome.
As to not beable to walk through locked doors in role. You have to remember that there is magic in the lands of Achaea. When magic goes out of flux anything can happen. This includes those who have little to no magic being able to walk through locked doors.
Again I congratulate Achaea for pulling together. And I'm sorry those for those who lost everything because of inconsiderate people taking advantage of the situation
