Today I discovered the second journal in the Art Gallery, written by
the 'late' Servelan de Vermiis herself. I believe this will prove that
the Orphanage is quite obviously being used for the experiments and not
rats.

"The artist has proven to be an exceedingly excellent subject. Although his
earliest sculptures are not adequate as a focal point for the Awakening, I am
confident that the artist is indeed in contact with the Unnamable. Since
continued usage of the drug will prove fatal, it is of utmost importance to
complete the experiment before the subject expires. Unfortunately, my former
estimate for the amount of serum produced at the orphanage was too optimistic
given the large quantity of the drug that the artist has already used. Efforts
to increase enrollment at Loving Hearts Orphanage are therefore crucial. An
appropriate site for the Awakening has been constructed at the Arboretum of
Enlightenment.

I think this speaks for itself, and shows why the artist in the art gallery
is so mentally distant.
