"Initial research has conclusively validated that in order for any effort in
contacting the Unnamable to succeed, a certain hyper-psychic state must be
achieved. I am most hopeful that a psychotropic agent will prove the most
successful method. From the ancient texts and my own experience, I am convinced
that the pineal gland holds the vital fluids necessary for this expansion of
consciousness. In order to develop a drug, I have been experimenting with
extracting fluids from the pineal glands of test subjects. Unfortunately, adult
test subjects have proved woefully inadequate sine it appears the pineal gland
atrophies after puberty. However, tests with children have proven extremely
encouraging as their pineal glands have excreted sufficient fluids to justify
continuing this experiment. However, it still will take an enormous number of
subjects to distill even one dosage of the agent.
