On my knees?

You see me as a broken man. I am shaken, that is true. The Infernals have been attacked by a force I am finding very difficult to parry. But I am far from on my knees, as yet. Should these traitors have suceeded in handing Twilight the guild and its patronage, we would have nothing left of the things we are founded upon. Critics will say what they will, but I -do- expect the knights to behave as knights, and I see a very big conflict of interest, should Twilight be our patron. He Himself has pointed this conflict of interest out the day the Infernals were formed and He ousted me from His Order for disobedience (not promising Him to be a lying cheating deceiving swine).
This guildmaster will fight to protect the guild and its philosophies, from enemies withing and without the guild. I will fight as a mother would fight to protect her child.
Ashtan needs the Infernals, even in the wounded state which you have personaly had a hand in putting us in. You have the authority to brand me an enemy of the city, but of the two of us, you are doing the city of Ashtan much more damage than I. This, combined with the last treaty you signed with the church and some other really choice blunders will hopefully bring a more competant man to the position of overseer, if the cities infrastructure has not already been sufficiently infiltrated by your siblings to keep you in the chair.
Personaly, I will have a lot to see to with the restructuring of the guild. Perhaps the citizens who are not enemied will lift a finger. Perhaps the cities Matron will come and clean house while there is still time. I only know, that I am not going to let my guild fall without a fight. My second loyalty is to the city of Ashtan, and I will still be requiring guild members to be citizens, to aid in her protection.
