Achaean News
of shrines and war

Greetings. It has come to my attention that the shrine recently found
within the City of Hashan was the work of a powerful, and as yet unnamed,
entity, inimical to the interests of both Hashan and the Church and its allies.
Obviously, its intent was to foment tension and discord. Hashan is neither
puppet nor pawn. Based upon certain intelligence, and the guidance and
advisements of my divine Patron, I do hereby formally state that Hashan
intends to stand down from its preparations for war in the matter of the
violation of our territorial integrity by that shrine's emplacement.
I will also state that the matter of interference with our citizens in
relation to a certain village north of the City is not closed, and will certainly
be visited again should such interference continue.
In closing, I would like to publicly extend my gratitude and respect to
those individuals whose communications with me in this matter were
reasoned, forthright, and obviously intent on defusing an ugly situation.
The one, highly-placed official, who messaged me with cursing accusation
and rash threats, coming closer than anyone knows to pushing this
over the edge, could learn much from you.
Elentari, Seneschal of Hashan
