Thank you Accendus,
You are the very model of Achaea today. "Why the hell should
I listen to you?" you say. "Say what you want, Im still going to
do what I want to, what makes me feel good, what gives me power,
what gets me high." you say. "I can't have a cookie, huh? Well
what would you do if I took all these cookies that I have illegally
here and shoved em someplace warm and dark and uncomfortable
for you?" you say.
You are a barbarian. Such is not a bad thing. I am sure you are
quite fond of your mode of living. But there are things about that
way of life that are finite and limited. I am a seer, my eyes are
set to the future. I yearn for new things, new experiences. If I
were to conform to your philosophy, my day would be monotonously
filled with getting bonked over the head and delivering mine own
bonkings. How drab.
I see a method to acheive these new things, its called civilization.
Achaea is already seeing it. It is crawling into the viens of some
of more enlightened residents of this world. You have the ruling
body of Hashan making their rules. You have the administration of
Ashtan recognizing their resources and making decisions respectively.
You have the Councils of Shallam trying to do the right thing but
having it ruined by all the thugs that find hypocritical refuge
there.
I would ask the people of Sapience to grasp at this trend and run
with it. But I know that we are not ready for it. The populous
hasn't satiated their need to bonk each other. And the Pantheon
rewards such barbaric behavior and gives little notice to those
that would wield logic (which I find a tad ironic).
(Now is the part of the post set aside for metaphors)
One man may struggle against a lever, but bring several men to
bear on that same lever and it may be moved with little effort.
A stick may easilly be broken in twain by a child's small hands
but a cord consisting of similar sticks may support the mightest
tower. One bird's song may find little register in the great
expanse of the fimrament, but the combined chorus of a flock may
raise such a clamour as to echo for miles.
If we, the various peoples of Sapience could find a way to
combine our minds in a common purpose, the sound of our voices
may even find its way into the Splendid Divine Garden of the Gods.
Mine eyes see even that which is not as yet,
