The new Law concerning illegal venoms isn't just some random Law set
forth by just any Guild. This Law was written to protect the very
specific and secretive skills of a certain Guild. Sarapis, in His
Infinite Wisdom, has allowed all Guilds the use of these venoms but it
seems to have gotten to the point where a guild skill is now being used
against the Guild which brought forth this ability. The Shadow Snakes
are only trying to protect a highly useful and deadly skill. One could
liken this ban to Oakstone banning overharvesting. What right do they
have telling other Guilds what to do, yet I have never seen anyone take
a public stand against them. I think the problem really amounts to
this... those that use illegal venoms are afraid that they cannot be as
deadly with their God-given guild skills and have to resort to the skills
of another Guild. If you feel that you must fight, for whatever reason,
at least have the 'honour' and 'decency' to try and kill your adversary
with YOUR God-given abilities and stop relying on the skills of
another Guild.
