A Matter of Respect

Of Late many things have arisen due to the harshness
certain individuals treat others. Just within my guild
of beloved Sentaari alone, much strife and uneasiness
has been the cause of an inconsiderate few.

So what I will say here, I feel no one, except for our
deities, are exempt from this.

Whether one decides to be good or evil is a personal
preference. If we choose to live an evil existence,
others will know to expect little from us in the way of
respect and unconditional regard. If we choose to be
good, however, then we should realized a few things.

Respect is not an option in the life of good - it is a
necessity. No matter how great we are, we must always
be mindful that no one is too young or insignificant to
be treated cruelly or disregarded. Every time we turn
our backs on someone, we begin a new episode of pain and
mistrust for we breed hate in all that we scorn. Let
there be no mistaking, these are handy tools of evil not
good.

And when we claim to be good yet we do these evil
things, we are saying let anything come to bear for we
do not care what happens to anyone including ourselves.
When we befriend someone then betray them, when we
demean others with callous remarks, and when we are evil
but hide behind a mask of good, we open the door of ill
fate upon ourselves and those around us.

This is all to say, if we love a few (or even just one
other) and we want to protect them, then we must love
the many. Our actions may not come to bear so heavily
upon us, but they will most certainly harm those about
whom we care. And for those of us who protest to be
good but love no one save for themselves, then we need
to do some serious reflection and realize there is no
good in a loveless life.

Evil or good, you may sadden me, but I love you all.
