Flat, Round, Bell, or Carrot shaped...

My point in bringing up Shalla-Khulia was not simply to say that
just because other lands exist therefore the world is round. My
point was that yes, I do agree that the sun rises at the same time
across all of known Sapience and therefore it would appear that the
world is flat or possibly plate shaped but with the known existence
of other lands there exists the possibility that the world is round.
I also put forth an experiment that could be used to verify either
of these assertions and that consisted of one person staying in
Sapience and the other traveling to Shalla-Khulia. As the sun dawned,
we could then yell out when we first saw it. If we yell at the same
time then it could be deduced that the world is flat, although others
might still argue that the world was much larger than we had imagined
and that it would take further trips to truly prove either claim. If
our yells came at different times then it would prove the world had
curvature to it. Another experiment which could be performed within
known Sapience is going to the farthest ends of the continent,
planting a pike (preferably with a head attached) and measuring the
angle of the shadow.
My offer still stands though... a small sum of gold for anyone willing
to explain The Logos' statement on the shape of the world to a
somewhat illiterate mountain girl such as myself.
