Occultists

Recently I have engaged in many discussions with those of
the Occultist guild.

Those among the Occultist guild, that I have debated, have
all shown a distinct lack of common sense--all save Morlana.
Even though I feel she was wrong, she was the only one
among perhaps fifteen people that I have sparred verbally
with, to trap me with my own logic. This was mainly due to
the fact that I was not knowledgeable enough about the holy
Rite of Demons (something that has since been rectified).

A common point that many Occultists attempt to make is
the fact that, indeed, they are not evil! I fail to see how the
consumption of human hearts, the murder of small children
for their pineal glands, and their association with the
complete chaos of the entities they dominate, can be
considered good. Although many of the Occultist guild may
attempt to behave in a goodly manner (and I commend
them for that), they are still allied with evil, both through
their use of occult knowledge, and their murder of
innocents.

I even had the opportunity to debate with someone named
Tim, who was busy defending the goblins of Azdun at the
time. He claims they are innocent, despite the obvious fact
that if we didn't fight them, they would overrun this world
and ravage our cities. I find it laughable that he claims the
Church is full of hypocrisy, when he can honestly say that he
feels the goblins are innocent, while the people of the village
of Shastaan are there for the killing, or the people of
Shallam and the Church.

I must say, my experiences with debating the Occultists
have ended in disappointment. Perhaps another like Morlana
will step forth, and do an even better job of explaining their
reasoning. I somehow doubt it.

Israfel.
