I have recently noticed alot of jokes and discrimination regarding people's sexual preferences. Recently I got engaged to Jem, as well as Saruman (long story) and was forced to endure comments about being a lesbian, and a bisexual. Actually, I'm a heterosexual with a really open mind. But just for a moment, if I had actually been homosexual, what would be wrong with that?
Homosexuality is perfectly normal, and just because most of us don't understand it, why should we mock it and make lames jokes about it? Consider how a person might feel when they are surrounded be jokes about their sexual preferences, which they cannot help? For example... say you have blue hair with orange streaks, you were born that way. You wear a hat and hide it, but everywhere you go, you hear people laughing about freaks with blue and orange streaked hair. Wouldn't you feel a little ashamed and left out? It's not your fault what color hair you were born with. It's the same thing with homosexuality. Who can help it? There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
So I think we should put our ridiculous prejudices aside, and accept people for who they are, not which gender they prefer to date. Sure, some of us are "evil", some of us are "churchies", but all of us are people, and most of us have feelings, and we all have the right to love who we love. Nobody chooses who they fall in love with.
I think that's it, keep your minds and hearts open, and don't judge others for what you think they might be or not be.
