Ever since becoming a member of the priesthood, I have been ridiculed and
told again and again how weak the priests are. Granted, we are not the most
militant of professions. However, in the face of great odds, against
opponents who far surpass me in skills and experience, I have defeated the
likes of Mordicarnon, Morpheus and Mordyval on numerous occasions.
Is it because I am more skilled than they? No. Is it because my skills are
superior? No. Then why do I triumph over these ruthless individuals? I will
tell you. It is because I wrap around myself the trappings of love and the
belief in the innate goodness of everyone. It is because I hold honor and
justice above all else and walk in the shadows of the gods that my enemies
fall before me. When your faith and belief are strong, it is like an armor of
righteousness that protects you. The time of the Kharon Empire has ended
because its ego-driven leaders could not hold together its contentious
factions. Now, it is the time for the rise of the Church, for the holy and
just, for truth and goodness.
