The Church

Written by: Acolyte Israfel
Date: Saturday, March 25th, 2000
Addressed to: GrandMaster Laergon, Fist of the North Star

The end justifies the means.

Provided you live in accord with what we believe, or are neutral
in such matters, I have no quarrel with you. When you choose to
stand in my path, in my belief's path, you will die. I make no
apologies and offer no excuses. My way is the right way, and if
you choose to hinder me, you then become my enemy. I do not for-
give those who are blatant heretics easily. In time, your head
will rest on a pike at the gates of your city, or your guildhall,
or your home--a warning to all who would follow the same path.

You NEVER have the right to call us hypocrites. You claim we are
weak, and then you berate us for standing up for what we believe,
the fact that the Church is a bastion of Good, and the city of
Ashtan is a cesspit of corruption and evil.

It does not make sense, I must say.

Israfel.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Aeguary, in the year 244 AF.
