I wasn't going to post again on this topic, but the arguements
of Isildur and Tiercel have roused the fires of argument within
my poor body. So here goes....
_______________________________________________________________
You walk in, to someone elses land, and kill them, leaving a few
straglers remaining after the raping and pilliging is done. This
is a horrible occurance, but the inhabitants die and forget it,
being reborn with no memory of the past.

Second option seems to be, you walk in and subjegate an entire
village. For all intesive purposes, you claim the village for
your own. Oh no, you don't actually SAY that it's under your
control, no instead you offer them "protection" and basically act
like you own the entire village. Now the villagers live, but
they live a little less free. Their smiles are a little less
bright and the laughter has a tinge of sadness to it. Don't you
see that these people are Freemen? They take pride in living on
their own, and not being of any city? They are good strong men
and women who lose a little pride and honour each time an outsider
must come and protect their home. I say it's better to have a
quick, clean death by a blade, than to die slowly in your soul as
you find that your children no longer look up to you, for you are
not their protectors any longer.
_______________________________________________________________
Just a quick question now that my other thoughts are out of my
head.

Let's say that I got into a heated discussion with, oooh a
fisherman, and I punched him. Let's also say that I felt really
sorry afterwards and apologized and tried to give him some irid
moss and money to make up for it. Now let's continue to say that
the fisherman then begins to attack me visiously. Do I have the
right to defend myself?

Yes it's the contraversial Dream, who's points are rarely
understood, and is not always entertaining, but who does
make straightforward things sound backwards.

-Dream

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Sarapin, in the year 244 AF.
