Me

A very strange thing happened to me, and I should like to share it with you all.
onece upon a time...
I opened my eyes, confused, the bright light of a foreign sun blinding me. I looked around at the strange faces surrounding me and one of them smiled and said something I didnt really understand at first. Then I knew he was asking me how I felt and calling me by my name and my name was Cynne.
Had I become& what? I did not know. And who was I? Was I Cynne? The name was foreign to me, but I knew it was mine. I had another; it sat on the tip of my tongue yet I could not speak it.
I felt the strong urge to go home and escape this foreign city, but the landscape was strange, I did not know it. I wandered and came to a grove and I knew it was home, though I didnt recognize it. I peered at my reflection the stream that flowed there and breathed a sigh of relief recognizing the face as my own, but who that person was, I do not know.
Somehow my body had been summoned to a foreign land, a distant planet, and this woman, this Cynne, had merged her consciousness with my own. I searched my memory and hers but could find no trace of the event that had caused this merging, though I am sure it had been close to cataclysmic.
I walked the forest where Cynne had made her home and soon found the village in which shed been born. I came upon a Tsolaa woman and she greeted me, looking at me oddly, obviously having never seen a creature of my nature before. In fact, she seemed surprised that I was sentient.
I suddenly felt a great overpowering sorrow and knew that this was my mother. I hurried from there and I do not think I shall return.
Cynne had children. Their images rose into my mind and I remembered a promise never to leave them or forsake the family name. Hastily, I penned a message to each assuring them that she was here and I would not abandon them.
I share her love, her passion and her memory. It seems, however that I have complete control of my own will though I am compelled to hold dear that which she does.
I have done nothing but ponder my fate since I woke in this strange land. I now hold the passion, loyalties and desires of two separate people in one body, and mind. I have determined, though I cannot be sure that I am correct, that though my body and mind are mine, my soul has been replaced by hers. How odd.
But then perhaps what I speak is madness. That I am who I always was, yet I am confused by some great change.
The memories I have of Cynne, show her on the brink of insanity more than a few times. Perhaps she has finally cracked and I am nothing but a creation of her addled mind.
Either way, I am here. I am Cynne, and I am Ry'Udel, and I am Grook.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Aeguary, in the year 242 AF.
