Reincarnation and Me

Greetings.
Some of you may not know me, or may know me only by name. I am Rall D'Ischai, and I have something to say
With this new gift of reincarnation, many of us are changing who we are. My own family has changed races on me, and I personally disaprove. But my opinion on it is not what I wish to discuss. Many of you are making the decision on whether or not to take this Reincarnation gift. To aide in your decision, I offer my advice, and why I chose to stay a human:
I have been myself for thirty eight years. I have spent these thirty eight years, the last twenty in particular, on developing my character and my sense of who I am. No matter what I do I am proud of my actions. If I am right then it is a triumph. If I am wrong or if I fail to do something, it is not a failure, but rather a lesson. In this time I have come to accept myself, my appearance, my personality, and essentially who I am. Thirty eight years spent on accepting myself.
Now I, like all of you, am given a choice to change this person that I am. I can't do it because I see no logic in it. Sure, people will argue that there are tactical bonuses, strength increases, health bonuses, etc., but there is an aspect that everyone seems to overlook. You are changing who you are. If I were a tiger person or a walking insect or salamander, or if I was a mhun or Troll or any old race, I would not be who I am. This is a life change, and those change you.
I am Rall D'Ischai, first son of Rejlii, and though my friends, family, and neighbors are changing who they are, I stand firm and resolute, and applaud those who do so with me.
I respect Lord Deucalion's brave sacrifice, and admire him. I do not, however, accept this gift, and almost find it insulting. I view wiping my slate clean as a cowards way out, a way of escaping my actions from before as opposed to learning from them. If I offend anyone, I am sorry, but I wish to offer my opinion to those who face the choice.
I've gone on too long already, I'm sorry.
