bickering and whining

I probably shouldn't even lower myself to jump into the fray here, but there are a few glaring points that need to be made.
Perhaps they have been and I missed them somewhere, if so I apologize for the redundancy.
Ladies and gentlemen: You are in a state of war.
You will die. You will be summoned by various means against your will. You will be ambushed on occasion.
Perhaps, as I have experienced, you will experience the pleasure of having your soul ripped from your body before you even have time to defend yourself.
If you choose to defend the Heart, if you choose to destroy the Heart you must expect resistance.
However, anyone who is not an enemy to a city should not be attacked just for wandering within it's walls. If the individual in question brought an army, it would be one thing. All by himself, however, assume he's shopping and get on with your life
Now I hate being convocated as much as everyone. It's disorienting and annoying. Luckily, I have managed to walk away from each attempt.
(ponder) No not all of them, I guess they got me a couple times...
The escapes I've made I owe partly to my Druidly escaping abilities and partly to the fact that I, myself, am hardly worth their time.
I know damn well that Shallamites have been sucked through wormholes at the gorge. And I know that many have been surprised by gates opening up before them from whence came enemy forces.
The point I am meandering toward here is this:
In matters of war are there really rules? Teaming, ambushing, various summoning means are all tools of war. If you don't like it, get out of the war.
Quit, concede defeat and go back to whatever you were doing before.
On a side note: There are a few who enjoy the action at the part while not necessarily taking part. I see nothing wrong with this and am saddened when I see these future historians slain. Please respect their right to observe.
hmmm... Correction to the first sentance above. It should read: There are a few who enjoy the action at the Heart while not necessarily taking part.
Also, back to the whole war subject. I should like to state that everyone is taking all of this way too personally.
People are going to fight for their beliefs. This does not mean they have something against you personally. I quite like Echo and Maran for instance and very much enjoy the occasional phylosophical debate with Michael.
I am also quite proud to call Galdrion friend.
However, I will fight them and I will kill them if I need to.
Such is the nature of war and it is a sad thing.
Until these battles have ceased, I will be forced day after day to look into the eyes of those I call friend as they take my life or I take theirs.
Many of you will. Such is the price you pay for your beliefs. So it is and so it will always be. And it is a sad thing.
Once the Heart is gone, there will be something else.
I've lost my point and I'm just rambling now. A good sign to put down my quill and return to my duties.
