The War

War has once again come to the land, and I can see that it pleases few. This surprises me little, for there are many who claim to be something that they are not. Many who, upon the review of war, turn out to be snivelling weaklings, fit for nothing more than to huddle together with thewir friends, doing whatever it is that these friends do in dark corners.

Ah, but the reason for this war? Even I do not declare such a state without reason. It is a simple one, really. Many believe it to be merely the fact that one of my order, Nuitari, was forced to join a guild. Others have heard the truth, that when I spoke with Twilight about this, he threatened to have every member of my order hunted down repeatedly by the members of his Serpentlords and Eris' Shadowsnakes, until compliance was given. The very fact that he wished to strongarm me and mine into such a corner required rigteous retribution.

Twilight, of course, denies now that he made this threat. A convenient thing for the god of shadows to do, to be certain. But I do not wish to argue that point. Release Nuitari, then, and render that threat null and void. That, or have HIM come to ME and tell me that what has been said by Twilight--that Nuitari has been begging to be guilded all along--is true. Then shall HE suffer my wrath, and the war end.

But never declare that this is a war without purpose. This is a war of honour, of the simple need to show that we will not roll over and die when threatened. A small order we are, yes, but we shall not be overtaken by the shadow. You have my terms.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Scarlatan, in the year 241 AF.
