I do not preach "live and let live." Until recently, when this line of argument was abandoned, certain members of the Church did so preach in obvious contradiction to the general claims of the Church regarding its policy.
It is likely that they simply didn't understand the meanings of the words they used. This particular problem seems to have taken on the proportions of a plague within the Church.
Killing innocent people of a village lies strictly within what is dictated by the Truths of Evil. Thus, we quite literally practice what we preach.
While it may be meddling in the personal affairs of SHASTANNA, these are not the Church's personal affairs. Such has already been conceded. The reason this was brought up, I beg you remember, was that there was some confusion regarding the supposition that the Church can be treated on a "live and let live" basis. Your interference in Shastanna's affairs would attract no one's attention had the suggestion not already been made that the Church minds its own business and "lets live." In the sense that both the Infernals and the Church have made an issue out of Shastanna we are equal
in the sense that the Infernals have not painted themselves hypocrites on this particular issue, we are not on equal footing.
I now stop writing on this matter, as I must presumably go and have a private lesson in "what is good and right" from the priest who thinks that it is appropriate to answer points with blunt objects.
Bauk.
Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Phaestian, in the year 240 AF.
