Dogs

When you corner a dog, it will attack.
The dog could have bitten your child. The dog could have relieved itself on your feet. The dog could have gotten together with one of it's companions, snuck up on you, and mauled you to death.
It doesnt matter if the dog deserves to be beaten, or killed. If you put it in a corner, it will do whatever it takes to get out.
This is the same instinct of survival that flows through all life today. Without this instinct, or with a weak sense of it, surviving this harsh existance is not an option.
If the weak see an opportunity to become the aggressor, than in order for them to survive, they will jump at the chance. Vengeance could be a motive, but at the heart of that lies the instinct to thrive, and to put their beliefs at the top.
Personally, I am growing to like a selected few Church Members. They know who they are. They have shown me the ability to focus their aggression, and to carry out their killing wish. Above all the things they have shown me, Honour has won my favour. The VERY select few who do not run, or team. The select few (and I really should be saying 2) Church Members who have demonstrated their willingness to fight for their beliefs, but at the same time, not fall prey to their own venomous words. They are my foes, and they are against all I am for, but yet, they have earned my respect. As for the other pathetic dogs who choose to team, and convocate enemies into Shallam, I am saddened by the blaring hypocrosy that you still demonstrate to this very day. Why would you bring such an intense act of violence into such a 'peace-promoting' city?

I hope I have answered you Irontounge, and I hope you understand what it means to be put down for so long, only to rise high enough to see the peak of the power pool. They will stop at nothing to secure it.
Nothing.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Scarlatan, in the year 240 AF.
