Our beautiful and marvellous language has granted us the power of words, and among many of these powers lies a unique device called, a metaphor. To define it, Epicurus, an expert in the field of linguistics, has said a metaphor to be, "a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something in which it is not literally applicable, in or to suggest a resemblence..." I feel that I have a firm grasp on the concept of the metaphor, which can be an aesthitic literary device as well as a useful persuasive tool, thus, I like to incoporate the metaphor into my works.
As you pointed out, I did include several scathing remarks, but under closer observation, one will discover that their literal meanings may not apply. I am sorry if my words confused you, though when I speak of "the lies of righteousness," it does not refer to either you or righteousness itself. A thorough examination of the day's events could provide the correct meaning, though there are many meanings, for example Shallam, the Church, or perhaps specific individual? I only hope that what or who I am speaking about will recognize the error of their ways. Thus, in Lorielan's case, I can honestly say I never included her in my rantings.
Why, then, must I continue to ravage this board with my pathetic cries? Perhaps the true reasons shall remain untold, and fall in line with the rest of the posts and lose its place in history. Why, then, do I not blantantly express my sentiments? Perhaps the answers were not meant for everyone's ears, and outright attacks usually lead to unnecessary enemies as the wrong people take umbrage, and Divine Disfavours sometimes accompany them. Or maybe I lack to courage or willpower to be upfront and speak of my misfortunes. Alas, I humbly request forgiveness for any offense you, or your sister, have taken, and may you continue to extend your teachings upon the misguided.
