Your Diatribe

My dearest Deucalion,
It surprises me that you spurn my compliments by spewing forth such a defensive diatribe of misdirections. The fact remains I followed your counsel to "slay something beloved" (as you put it) of poor Gaia's. If you wish to continue spurning my compliments towards you with such adolescent slurs about the "Chaos" of my mind, I suggest we take such a petty squabble to the Garden and away from mortal purview.
The only matter I will address is the allegation that I was "healing some and leaving others unaided" in the contest. This is the first I heard of such an allegation (if any truly made it) and to set the record I did not interfere, directly or indirectly, in any manner. The contest was fair and I challenge any mortal or deity to prove otherwise.
It is interesting to note that you remained silent on the Church's enjoyment and participation in the bloodsport, which silence I take as either approval of or disassociation with the Church. Since I have been asleep for so long, I can only imagine that the Church has evolved away from its misguided morality towards a more enlightened view on the nature of existence. With that in mind, I eagerly look forward to working with the Church with its newfound amoral principles.
