Empire

I did not mean to imply that my goal was to rebuild an Empire.
Again, if you direct your attention to the previous attempts as an Empire, you will notice one thing in common with all of them.
They Failed.
Not only do I know that an Empire is not possible to sustain, but I know why.
If you enter the forests, you will notice many trees, some tall, some short.
You might even notice the mightiest tree in the forest that fell over during a storm. Even though it's presence was powerful, and it's size intimidating, what you didnt see was how poor it's root structure was. When a tree grows to such a size, it becomes a downfall if its roots arent stretching deep enough. It fell because it had no structure. Even though it stood for many years as the mightiest tree, it now lays dead among the shorter trees.
I do not plan on rising to such power only to fall over and die. I will spread my roots as deep as possible. I will surround our guild with power, and prestige. I will not attempt to stand alone against the whole of Achaea.
In short, I ask one thing from those who would become our allies. Nothing more, nothing less.
Respect.
Penned by my hand on the 17th of Glacian, in the year 239 AF.
