Greetings everyone,

I have been reading the posts regarding people's views on the Occultists' Guild and I say that the Occultists' Guild is not evil. In reality it bends more toward the neutral for Chaos dose not exist because of good or evil it just does. If you have the means, good or evil, you can get Chaos to aid any idea<l> for whatever means. Since we foster that everyone is an individual, and that individual is ultimately responsible for his or her own actions, those actions are conviently used to label the Guild, usually with the tag Evil.

I, according to the previous posts, am evil because I am an Occultist, yet I do good.

If this is so what am I? Good or Evil? You say I am evil because I utilize the powers of an Occultist to bring harm to another without cause. I say in all the realm it is blatantly known that I do not do so. You say I am evil because I perform experiments to seek forbidden knowledge. Forbidden? by whom? Who wishes to oppress my desire to learn? In that I believe lives evilness. I say yes I do perform experiments and no all my experiments do not take life, but never have I attacked anyone with one without permission or defense.

Am I still evil? You say I am evil because I support Chaos and all the confusion and strife that comes along with it. I say do you truely believe that only applies to me or to my guild?

Maybe you think I am good? Because I lend myself -my time, my creativity and my resources- to help others whether they are from my beloved city Ashtan or from the city of 'Light' shallam? Am I good because I do not require you to give me your origins before I come out of my pocket to GIVE you something or set aside my responsibilities to mediate so that all can LEARN the truth?

If I am evil how can I be good? If I am good how can I be evil?

I am still an Occultist. I still live in Ashtan

The Occultists' Guild is not Eevil. The Occultists' Guild is not Good.
The Occultists' Guild is a group of people who are interested and devoted to finding the reason for anything. The Occultists' Guild are a group of people who are often sidetracked from their efforts because of the label EVIL.

In my lifetime I have seen those who propose to be 'Good' doing the same things those who are labeled 'Evil'. Good is Good for the Good yet the same can not be said for those who do not fall under 'Good'.

Maybe if we all concentrated less on labeling and more on finding out about the individual person we would not have to beseige the public with what we THINK instead we can share with everyone with what we KNOW.
