Ah, yes, turn your back upon the Church's transparent goal of yoking
Achaea under its totalitarian dogmatic regime, and join their resistance
movement. Join those who want nothing but to control your actions and
your thoughts. Who knows? Perhaps the resistance will overthrow the
Empire. Perhaps you will aid the Church enough so that it will be able
to realize its dream and choke us all as it tightens its moral and religious
leashes about us. Already priests are making it known that they do not
respect personal freedoms but demand a strict regime of non-drug use,
chastity in the matters of sexual relations, and death to pagans. (If you
haven't had the joy in speaking with the most vocal priest, Rev. Helmut,
you may be in for a treat.)

As you help the Church realize these goals, you will notice that an
exponential increase in shrines will take place. As these shrines
become more and more numerous, to the point that you cannot walk
anywhere in Achaea without being under a shrine's influence, I hope
you will recall your casual dismissal their powers and, "just move."
But move where? If the Empire couldn't stop them from cropping up
in Ashtan, if the serpentlords couldn't stop them from taking over
Hashan, if the mhun couldn't stop them from taking over Moghedu,
if the druids couldn't stop them from taking over the forests and
their groves, where will you run, Aeschylus?
