There's a reason as to why Aegis is here

I believe that there is a reason as to why Aegis has arrived within our land. As most (many?) of you know, we are currently officially at peace. This official peace however is nothing more than a farce and Aegis has asked that we drop it. Always one for bloodshed, I of course agree with him, as do many others. People are breaking the treaty every day, still killing each other and attacking citizens of their Arch-rivals city. Tylin regularly goes on rampages through Shallam (though it used to be Ashtan), and Pierce breaks the Shallamese side of it by using convocation. That is but one in a long list of incidents that are in clear defiance of our current "Treaty".
Many of the people who ask for peace are just being hypocrits. Sometimes the only way to attain peace is through war, and the more powerful among us obviously do not value this treaty at all. Only when one side has been beaten down, to a bloody pulp, unable to resist any longer and is forced to accept an un-conditional surrender will it end. Until then our wars will flicker brightly but briefly, never ending in either complete light or darkness. Much blood has been drawn on both sides, and no one is ever going to forget and not enough will forgive.
Aegis has publicly stated that he would like to see official war declared again, rather than the farce that is going on now. In respect of his wishes I would like to declare that I am going to pull a Tylin/Cooper/Dalamar/Pierce/Sarapis knows who else and attack the enemies of my city on sight. In my case this means the Shallamese. And while there is a small chance that I will be rebuffed for this because I don't have a full array of magical items like Tylin, I will not bow before such a poorly upheld treaty.

Respect Aegis' comming! Let there be war!

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Sarapin, in the year 237 AF.
