You are indeed the Vigilant One Lord.

It is so refreshing to see a God who takes such an active roll in our daily struggles. (grin) I know the gods are all working very hard, You need not remind me. I am just glad to see You give such a hearty response to the efforts of my young lions. Vigilant You are Lord, and above all, I respect You for that very thing.
As usual, I find myself in a struggle of semantics with You. I wrote that "Perhaps we will offend a God, or a guild master somewhere. Perhaps the God will strike us down. It does not matter. The important thing is to grow and learn." You know me Lord. We have spoken for hours on end. Of course it matters if we offend a god, and being zapped is no picnic. But seen in the light of a learning experience, the learning is the important part. Do the Gods not zap people in an effort to teach? My post was about learning and about newbies testing the water. I did not comment on whether I agreed with my men Valor or Raajin, (or even Kalypso for that matter), because my opinions are formed. I do not need to enter this debate. I said they represented the guild well. By that I meant they showed proper respect and humility to the Gods and put their brains to work to find the truth behind the code of honour we follow. There are flaws in those posts, yes. We are a flawed creation as mortals, and young ones at that.
Posting on guild policy and theology is dangerous water. Because few of my members could have done the posting better, I have guild favoured both of them. They put their hand in the fire to see if they could stand the heat. I smell a bit of smoke, but for young men, they did an excelent job of searching for the truth that we strive for.
If Raajin or Valor have misspoken to such a degree that You are offended Lord, I am sure they will be more than willing to make amends. Raajin has humbly asked my permission to speak to You personaly and I have encouraged him to do so. He is a solid man. I am sure that You will instruct him (and me) when we inadvertantly step on Your divine toes.
Admittedly, my choice of words could have been better, but taken in context and in the spirit intended, I hope You will see that I meant no offense at all Deucalion. You, more than perhaps any God, know how I revere and respect the entire pantheon.
If You wish to discuss this with me in private or over msg's, I am at Your eternal disposal Lord. I would like to take this personal conversation off of the public boards. Personaly, I hate private dialogues on the public board.
P.S. I wont be changing You to our Patron as You asked, but it was a generous offer. There certainly are aspects to Your ethos that appeal to a knight of honour. The Patron we have already is, albeit busy in other matters, still a strong leader and we follow Him as best we can. His hand is over us, even if we cant see it.
