Strife's sonnet contest

Written by: Miss Echo l'Altro di Rienzi
Date: Monday, December 13th, 1999
Addressed to: Everyone

This is addressed to anyone who participated or still wishes to participate in Strife's sonnet contest. Strife has decided to leave Achaea out of reasons he may consider personal (therefore I will not go further into detail), so he has informed me that he will not publish the sonnets that have been handed in. I think this is a great pity-- anyone who has been inspired to put forth their soul into a work of art, be it poetry, or sculpture, or music, deserves recognition and competitive judgement.

Anyway, I am writing to urge everyone who has written a sonnet for the sonnet competition as well as those of you who would like to write one, to send me your sonnets (no entrance fee!!!). I will judge them competitively, and the best of them will be published for historic record and recognition.

Please remember that you may choose any theme relating to Achaea for your sonnet.

May the arts flourish in this land, and our souls along with them.

Sincerely,

Echo

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Sarapin, in the year 236 AF.
