This is an apology.
First and foremost, it's an apology to Goddess Aurora. Secondly, it's an apology to Shallam, the Church, and the Paladins. And thirdly, and almost as important as the first, it's an apology to each and every one of you who has paid attention to my situation over the past few Achaean months.
First off, I'd like to say that I stand behind my decision to move, my apology comes in the means. Noone should betray a God or Goddess, ever. There should be nothing in the mortal realm that should propel you to inflict such harm on a Divine being who is part of the lifeblood of our world as we know it. However, should you, in your (my) mortal idiocy, feel it's what you need to do, do not follow my example.
I write to you to hope to bestow some of what I've learned over this time to you, so you might not make the same mistakes and find yourself in my shoes, so-to-speak.
Do not argue with your punishment, do not try to weasel out of it. Punishments were meant to teach you a lesson, if you can make an honest whole-hearted apology and prove that you've learned your lesson and are willing to make up for your sins, then it is my feeling that a Divine being can sense this in their infinate wisdom, and will be complient. If said Divine being refuses, then it is YOU who is wrong, not Them.
In my egotistical mortal life, I've made mistakes before. My previous posts outlined some of the mistakes I made when I was young, but not the gravest. Never assume that a God will not understand. If there is cause for it, They will. Should you feel your place is within another Order, speak with your present God first. Despite how you THINK they feel, their guidance and wisdom can be invaluable on your journey through life in Achaea.
To all the young adventurers here, there are plenty of great examples of heroes to admire and aspire to be like. Isildur, Mausolus, Pierce, Maran, and Gawain are just a few that come to mind, at least in my book. It's a pity to say, "Do as I say, not as I do." However, in this case, it's most correct.
Stick to your convictions, do what you need to do to seek your inner happiness, but never EVER disrespect a God. I'm not saying this to help my case, I'm saying it because someone Divine recently made me realize what had escaped me before - the cause of my punishment.
Gods don't do things out of spite, punishments aren't given, they're earned.
May you all take no decision in life too lightly, or underestimate the power of honesty.
With that, I make a public apology to the Goddess of Light. I have made many mistakes, the most severe of which being betraying you without so much as giving you the time of day beforehand. Goddess, I am but mortal. In my life I have learned, that no matter how big a mistake you make, the Gods shall eventually forgive you should you learn from them. I have learned. While I continue on my path to happiness, through Lupus and whichever other direction it shall take me, I offer my example and honest advice to any in need of guidance. I can't give you answers, but advice I can give. That said, I most humbly beg Aurora that we may speak about a resolution to our conflict.
To all those who have taken the time to read this, please pass on my offer of advice to any misguided - young or old - whom you know needs it. I don't claim wisdom, I claim experience in the WRONG way to do things, which inevitably can lead for some good ideas on the right way.
