Gawain and the Shrines

Gawain's last post pretty much speaks for itself. He cleverly stated
that shrines don't "murder" people after an exhaustive discourse about
how they are solely for the meditations of templars and priests. Now,
however, he states that he never meant that they don't "harm people".
Indeed, the shrines can and do cause serious harm to those the Church
feel are unbelievers to its cause. Obviously, the previous discussion
focused on whether or not the shrines were a weapon of the Church.
Gawain attempted to deny this by cleverly stating that they don't
"murder" people. Now, however, the truth comes to light and we find
that Gawain's tricky wording was a mere ruse to avoid the truth that
shrines are stupendous weapons of the Church. Some of the deadly
rites I personally have witnessed are as follows: shrines call forth
the powers of hell and send forth the claws of demons to physically
assault Church enemies; shrines can devestatingly drain mana; shrines
can inflict terror; and shrines send forth barbed chains to maul.
Not only does this effect the location of where shrines are, but
also locations two and three times away from a shrine. Perhaps shrines
cannot "murder" a person directly (though I question that statement)
but they certainly can assist the bloodhungering Church in murder,
which more than one of us has witnessed. Do not be deceived by the
misleading statements by the likes of Gawain that shrines are mere
monuments for Church members to pray at. They are weapons of mass
destruction to cow nonbelievers to follow the Church. Thus, now, I
am sure you realize the necessity of having them removed from and
around Ashtan, the Gem of the Empire.
