Greetings Achaeans...

I write this post with a sick feeling in my stomach and a sad heart.

Today, a meeting was held in the Temple of Oneiros to discuss a
peaceful solution in Achaea. In attendance were the leaders (or their
chosen representative) of each of the three cities, the guilds and a
representative from Oakstone. Also present were Lupus, Oneiros,
Twilight, Aurora and Deucalion.

It was hoped that both sides could come to some sort of accord, but
Ashtan was inflexible on their terms and adopted a "take it or leave
it" attitude. As had been explained by Aurora twice, their terms
stated limits that could not be practically accepted. Pierce and Maran,
speaking for the church, had to decline. Pierce tried to make a
counter-offer to Ashtan, but Ashtan refused to even consider it and
declared war.

I pray that soon both sides may see the futility of war and may
come back to the negotiating table with open minds and open hearts
before too much blood is shed.

It should be noted that Delphi stated that the forests wish to stay
out of this war. Elentari, leader of Hashan, has stated she will
let her people decide what they wish to do in the conflict.

May Oneiros be successful in calming the hearts of those involved.
